BSquare APAC Market Head Arwen's Keynote: "Introducing the Bitcoin DA Layer and Expanding the Ecosystem

图片3.png

Arwen, the APAC Market Head for BSquare, delivered a keynote titled "Introducing the DA Layer of Bitcoin and expand the ecosystem," where he explored new directions in the development of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Arwen began by highlighting the primary differences between Bitcoin and Ethereum, specifically Bitcoin's limitations in executing smart contracts. To address this gap, they introduced the DA layer (Data Availability Layer), enabling a variety of decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, such as dfinance, social finance, and gaming, to thrive and expand within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Arwen stated that their objective is to build a multifunctional Bitcoin layer to expand the Bitcoin ecosystem and support more zk roll-ups and op roll-ups on the market with the Bitcoin DA layer. They aim to achieve this through four key areas: fast, cheap, and secure transactions; easy access for individual users; collaboration with account abstraction solution providers like Particle Network; and providing a wealth of tools and resources for developers.

Lorenzo Protocol

Matt, the CEO of Lorenzo Protocol, emphasized the importance of building a Bitcoin liquidity DeFi ecosystem in his speech. As the Bitcoin ecosystem expands and Altos thrives, the demand for BDC liquidity continues to rise. To meet this demand, they are creating efficient markets to facilitate supply and demand matching. Matt pointed out that while these projects consume liquidity, idle BDC also needs to be fully utilized. Thus, Lorenzo Protocol is dedicated to creating a marketplace where BDC holders can find quality projects to enhance liquidity. To prevent users from losing liquidity due to staking, they aim for a DeFi ecosystem that balances flexibility with opportunities. This ecosystem is designed to foster mutual benefits between Bitcoin holders and project developers, driving prosperity and growth across the entire ecosystem.
